Over the past two decades, David has worked at the forefront of ecumencial and interfaith cooperation with groups including the National and World Council of Churches, Interfaith America, and FaithAction International House.
He is also an ordained minister (through the Riverside Church, NYC) in the United Church of Christ, and has been the pastor of UCC churches in New York, New Jersey, and Illinois, and has also served the UCC as a human rights volunteer in Bolivia, Kenya, and East Timor, as well as the United Nations.
His work has been featured in the Christian Century, Sojourners Magazine, the National Catholic Reporter, and Duke’s Center for Faith and Leadership.
David recognizes the tremendous gifts of diverse faith communities creating meaningful change in communities, and is especially motivated to help churches, temples, mosques, and other houses of worship by providing:
- one on one or group storytelling sessions to help faith leaders prepare for speeches/services and inspire people to put their faith into action
- thought leadership and strategic planning on how best to use the resources of the faith community to create meaningful change in the community
- training on best practices for outreach and service to diverse immigrant communities
- interfaith and multicultural “becoming neighbors” programming
David is available to work with faith communities, large and small, urban and rural, across the nation, in person as well as online. His work is always based on a sliding scale fee to ensure the affordability of services. Please contact him below to learn more!
